KIRTAN with Will Blunderfield in Whistler!
A MANTRA is a mystical energy encased in a sound structure. Every mantra contains within its vibration a certain power. Upon concentration and repetition of a given mantra, its energy is liberated and takes form... Combining the power of 5000 year-old devotional chants with Bon Jovi anthemic mantras, Will transforms your ordinary Kirtan into the extraordinary. Prepare for an experiential explosion of music, passion, and energy that will open your heart and leave you overflowing with bliss. “This experience is really about how you can use music to embrace your divine beauty,” says Blunderfield. “When you feel beautiful, you enhance your ability to elevate the world." Come and be inspired!
Will is now scheduled to perform with a stellar line-up of artists & special guests including TED2011 speaker John Hunter at Vancouver’s Projecting Change Film Festival Gala on April 17th. What is sure to be a stunning show, is set to take place on opening night to kick off the festival.
On Opening Night (April 17th) we’re featuring the award-winning film, World Peace and Other 4th Grade Achievements, featuring TED2011 speaker, John Hunter. World Peace interweaves the story of John, a school teacher from Virginia with his student’s participation in a game he created called the World Peace Game. The game triggers an eight week transformation of the children from students on a neighbourhood public school to citizens of the world, by exposing them to complex issues of the greater geo-political environment. The film reveals how a wise, loving teacher can unleash students’ full potential.
We’re honoured to welcome John Hunter and his producing partner Chris Farina to speak to the audience following the film. Chris will discuss the process of producing the film, while John will comment on the key issues facing educators and students today. Given the current educational climate in BC, John’s inspirational message of hope and the power of education and mentorship for young people could not be more timely.
Chanting is a natural way to tune into the frequency of love. Chanting
combines singing and music with mantras ÷ words and sounds that vibrate
at the highest level of awareness. The vibrations emanating from
singing Sanskrit words have a tangible effect on our own inner being.
It's not important to know what the words mean, or even to believe in
the particular names or forms of God sometimes sung in the chants,
because the ancient sounds themselves carry the energy that brings us
deep inside ourselves where our own nameless, formless connection
resides. The sweetness of chanting stills the mind, dissolves worries,
and opens the heart. The saints describe chanting as a way of becoming
saturated with God's love. Join Nutone label mates Wade & Will for an unforgettable evening of chant and song!
Just like Alice plunged into Wonderland, all families diagnosed with MPS II are plunged into a world previously unknown to them that they must learn to navigate. Just like Alice, this world is beautiful and nightmarish at the same time. The beauty and joy of life is never more clear than when the life of one’s child is threatened.
Join us for a truly unique, wonderful, and maybe even unpredictable, Gala where we will journey into Wonderland for just one evening. Share in celebrating the joy of life and raising critically needed funds for research.

Hey, it's me, Will. During these past several months I've had such wonderful experiences. I've signed an international recording contract with Nettwerk / Nutone Records (Sarah McLachlan, Krishna Das, Avril Lavigne), I wrote and recorded a duet with multi-platinum artist Bif Naked for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation which will be released to Top 40 radio in the fall, and am also about to embark on a US/Australian tour.
And throughout this time I've heard from all of you, my yoga family, whose love and support I cherish dearly. Many have asked "will you perform again soon in Vancouver?".. well today I'm really excited to answer that question, and to announce my most intimate performance ever, celebrating the album reaching #1 on the iTunes world music chart. This performance will be different from those of the past, in the way that I will perform music unplugged, exclusively from my album and classes, which I want you to help me select.
I'm reaching out to all of my fans, to seek your input about this very interactive performance.
Beginning today, you can indicate here on Facebook or twitter (twitter.com/wblunderfield ) the songs of your choice, because your voices are so important to me, the first 10 fans I hear from will receive an autographed copy of my #1 CD and an exclusive pair of Hot Yoga Little Black Bottoms which I've endorsed/co-designed with the team at VIVVOS (http://bit.ly/jS9BdS). ALL audience members will receive loads of give-aways and nutritious treats from Vega (myvega.com).
So let's get started, I'm very excited! Your support means so much to me and I am looking forward to performing for all of you. I love you guys, yoga fam you are the BEST!
